Known most perhaps for its resource and endless supply of trickjumps and tactical possibilites. As a ranger, this map is a joy to attack as one is often spoiled for choice when chosing entry or escape routes. The cloud platform above provides a perfect straight line escape route from base to base whereas the cliff-filled, semi-mountainous terrain below allows for more experienced players to show their flair in a huge array of trick jumps and possibilities of escape and ambush. Remember; all screenshots are enlargeable. Jump 1: This jump comes in particularly useful in attack when trying to escape a well defended node room. Beware however, although it is possible to survive this jump with full health it is unlikely you will do when under pressure so make sure you dont attempt it with less than about 30 health. This jump can be performed on any of the pillars like the one in the image around the alcazar node. To perform this jump fall (do not dodge or boost) off the edge of the node room floor facing the marked pillar. Stay parallel to the pillar as you fall and just as you near the end of the pillar, wall jump backwards away from it so you are hugging the wall of the main central pillar of the alcazar base. this should allow you to land on the little ledged shown in the second image with a minimum loss to life.
Jump 2: This jump is perhaps one of the most classic ones in U2XMP, is is the original trickjump allowing someone to get to the top of the tower on the Alcazar cloud platform. It works on the principal of a slope jump except the slope is very very small thus you cannot ride the slope as you would normally and also you must start very close to the slope for the jump to work. To perform the jump stand as close as you can to the slope marked on the image and dodge boost outwards away from the slope you ran up. This should shoot you high enough into the air to be able to reach the top of the tower.
Jump 3: This jump is quite complicated and i am not certain if it is possible with a tech or gunner. It allows you to reach the top of the central Alcazar cliff with one slope jump. Beware, the slope jump must be performed at the exact point marked on the two images otherwise you will not succeed. The exact point can be found if you look at the cliff and see a sharp inwardly dented section, you must dodge boost into the right half of this section allowing the small sharp piece of rock a tiny bit higher up launch you into the air. Aim further right so you dont hit your head on the rocks above and you should make it to the top of the cliff.
Jump 4: As far as I am aware this jump is only possible with ranger, although tech comes very close. The principle behind this jump is identical to Jump 2 (Cloud Platform Tower) as you are slope jumping using a very very small slope. This jump takes you from the top of the garage next to red base to the cliff next to it. To perform you must first jump on top of the garage then go to the edge of it and dodge boost inwards (towards the cliff) from the point marked on the image, this should shoot you high enough into the air to land on top of the cliff.
Jump 5: This jump is an alternative way to get on top of the central Alcazar cliff. It is still a slope jump but is much easier to do while running at the slope. To perform it run at the marked slope and boost dodge into it towards the cliff you are heading to, you should go quite high into the air and land on top of the central cliff, you may lose a little life doing this and if you fail, its a long way down.
Jump 6: This jump is extremely useful when escaping from the blue base through the top exit. It allows you to fall from the top exit platform down to the ground level losing almost no life. To perform this jump hop or just jump off the marked edge and allow yourself to fall making sure you hug the wall the whole way down and hit the marked points on the image during your fall. Land approximately on the marked point using your boost just before you land. If youve done it right you should lose very little life and be free to escape from your pursuer.
Jump 7: This jump is very useful when escaping from the red base through the top exit. It allows you to fall from the top exit platform down to the cliff outside the lower entrance to the red base. To perform this jump let yourself fall from the marked point and land firstly on the marked platform directly beneath. Now crawl (to avoid accidentally dodging and falling) to the exact point (marked by the very tip of the arrow) on this ledge and gently let yourself drop off this point. During your fall aim for the rock that sticks out a little (marked on the image) and allow it to launch you gently, with the help of a boost, onto the cliff. This should give a minimal loss of life and allow you to heal up and escape from your pursuer. - Written by aiKo
